| Trench Compactor Digging is only the first step in most trenching applications. Once the trench has been dug and the cable or water line laid, the Bobcat® trench compactor attachment can help finish the job off. The large, wheel-type trench compactor compresses soil using a vibratory shaker box for optimum compaction in any soil type. The trench compactor works most efficiently in trenches four to 12 inches wide and up to four feet deep. Trenches which are more than two feet deep should be backfilled and compacted in two or three layers (lifts) to achieve desired compaction. |
