Backer Rod
	Sandell®’s Standard Backer Rod closed cell polyethylene foam is a round, low density, insulation, non-absorbent back up material used to control sealant depth. This product is most commonly used in glazing operations, windows, doors, curtain walls, partitions, log home chinking, pavement joints, expansion joints, pre-cast units, isolation joints and copings. Sandell®’s Standard Backer Rod has a skin-like outer texture that is moisture resistant. Most importantly, sealants will not adhere to Sandell®’s Standard Backer Rod, therefore no bond breaker is required. It is highly flexible and has the ability to be compressed for easy installation.
